Is Tesamorelin/Ipamorelin the same as growth hormone (GH)?
No. Tesamorelin/Ipamorelin does not deliver GH directly. Instead, it is designed to stimulate your pituitary gland to release more of your own growth hormone in a more physiologic, pulsed pattern. It’s an upstream signaling strategy, not direct hormone replacement.
Will this help with visceral fat around my midsection?
Tesamorelin has been studied for its effects on visceral adipose tissue (VAT)—the deeper fat around internal organs—especially when combined with lifestyle interventions. Ipamorelin supports GH pulses that may complement those effects. However, responses vary, and this therapy works best when paired with nutrition, training, and recovery work rather than used alone.
How long before I notice changes?
Experiences vary. Some people report improvements in sleep quality, recovery, and “day-after” training feel within a few weeks. Changes in body composition and midsection metrics are more gradual and typically become clearer over 8–12+ weeks, especially when your program is consistent.
Can I stack Tesamorelin/Ipamorelin with CJC-1295/Ipamorelin or other peptides?
In some cases, yes—but this must be carefully designed and monitored by a provider. Stacking multiple GH-releasing strategies or peptides is advanced and should never be done DIY. Your Wellcore provider will look at your full stack and decide if Tesamorelin/Ipamorelin should stand alone or be combined thoughtfully with other therapies.
Is Tesamorelin/Ipamorelin FDA-approved?
When used as a compounded combination, Tesamorelin/Ipamorelin is not reviewed or approved by the FDA. The individual components and their clinical uses may be known and studied, but the compounded blend itself is prepared for individual patients by U.S.-licensed 503A compounding pharmacies under a provider’s prescription, often for off-label use. Your provider will discuss evidence, limitations, and alternatives as part of informed consent.
