About Hexarelin
Hexarelin is a synthetic hexapeptide analogue of GHRP-6 with a methyl group substitution at the tryptophan residue (D-2MeTrp). It acts as an agonist at the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR-1a). Hexarelin has a molecular formula of C47H58N12O6 and a molecular weight of 887.04 g/mol.
Hexarelin is used in in vitro preclinical research investigating GHSR-1a receptor pharmacology and cardiovascular peptide signalling. Studies have characterised its binding affinity at both GHSR-1a and CD36 scavenger receptors, making it a dual-target research tool of interest in endocrinological and cardiovascular research models.
