Chronic inflammation is our enemy and it should be yours as well.

Most medical research now strongly supports the concept that many of the diseases we suffer from are linked to low grade or chronic inflammation.

We do not accept the notion that aches, pains, stiffness, and diminished mobility are just a normal part of everyday living and aging. These symptoms can become chronic and debilitating if left unchecked. Relief Today believes these symptoms are a direct result of chronic inflammation. The symptoms you may be experiencing are your body's way of telling you something is wrong. If you were a car, your check engine light would be on - prompting you to take action!

We can certainly treat the acute symptoms of inflammation with steroids and vitamin supplements, but ultimately, it is important to address and determine the root cause of your chronic inflammation.

At which point does inflammation become friend or foe?

Acute or short term inflammation is usually just a part of the normal healthy healing process. However, when short term inflammation does not resolve, it can become chronic and damage our bodies. No body system is spared. The normal sequence of pain, redness, swelling, heat, and loss of function becomes an endless loop with no resolution.

This low grade inflammation can simmer beneath the surface for long periods of time, is often subtle, dangerous, and affects millions of people. You body may be suffering damage and you may not even know it.

Inflammation does not discriminate who it affects.

Inflammation is fueled by genetic influences, lifestyle choices, poor diet, lack of exercise, excess weight, poor sleeping habits, and persistently high stress levels.

When our bodies are under constant stress; is it any wonder that low grade chronic inflammation is likely the root cause of most of the disease states we see today?

When it comes to inflammation, no body system is spared.

Most of us have experienced stiff hands, creaky knees, chronic nagging back pain, sore feet, aching muscles, and overall diminished mobility.

These symptoms are usually the result of natural degeneration, aging, or previous injury. These symptoms can become systemic and chronic. This is frustrating for patients as these symptoms are often not associated with a specific diagnosis or treatment plan.

Relief Today believes these symptoms are associated with the damaging effects of chronic low grade inflammation.
