GHRP-2 5mg - PepWorks | Peptide Research

GHRP-2 (Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-2) is a synthetic hexapeptide that functions as a potent ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a) agonist, stimulating the endogenous secretion of growth hormone (GH) from the anterior pituitary. It acts synergistically with GHRH by amplifying the amplitude and frequency of GH pulses through a distinct signaling pathway. Mechanistically, GHRP-2 binds to growth hormone secretagogue receptors on pituitary somatotrophs and hypothalamic neurons, activating phospholipase C (PLC) and inositol triphosphate (IP3) pathways, leading to increased intracellular calcium and GH release. It also influences hypothalamic regulation, suppressing somatostatin (GH-inhibiting hormone) and enhancing growth hormone–releasing hormone (GHRH) action. Biologically, GHRP-2 promotes increased IGF-1 production, enhanced protein synthesis, lipolysis, and cellular repair, while exhibiting mild orexigenic (appetite-stimulating) effects via ghrelin receptor activation. Applications: Research
