About GHRP-2
GHRP-2 (Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide 2) is a synthetic hexapeptide and ghrelin mimetic that acts as an agonist at the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR-1a). It has a molecular formula of C45H55N9O6 and a molecular weight of 817.98 g/mol.
GHRP-2 is used extensively in in vitro preclinical research investigating growth hormone secretagogue receptor pharmacology. Studies have characterised its binding affinity and selectivity at GHSR-1a and examined its effects on downstream cAMP and inositol phosphate signalling cascades. It is widely used as a research tool in endocrinological and neuroendocrinological studies.
