How did peptides affect your kidney function?

K Kidneyhealer New Member May 7, 2025 Sorry if this is not the right forum. I have chronic kidney disease 3b due to alport and nephrotic syndrome. I plan to start peptides soon (BPC157, TB4, maybe DSIP, SS31, GHK-CU.) Even if you have no health issues, how did it impact eGFR, creatine, other renal labs? I can’t find any human studies which show a CMP or renal panel before and after peptide use. I have doctor approval and will monitor closely. I have spoken to others with CKD who have used peptides. I just want to see how it may have affected others. Thank you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk LITTLEMAGS VIP Member May 7, 2025 I have had no issues with elevated lab counts. I have been using peptides going on 3 years with limited breaks and mostly switching compounds. (Except BPC). I haven’t seen any research into this issue though K Kidneyhealer New Member May 7, 2025 LITTLEMAGS thank you that’s good to hear. Did it ever improve renal labs even slightly? I have had minor ups and downs but nothing worth noting in either direction.

I have used tons of BPC157 some TB4/DSIP and a even a little GHK-CU. I have never been interested in doing blood work with these and have no reason to believe that any of them effected my kidney function in any way. I did do a quick search for you and this is what I found out in reference to those who do have kidney issues.

BPC-157: Potential to support kidney tissue repair, with preclinical safety data showing minimal kidney impact.

TB4: Theoretical benefits via anti-inflammatory and regenerative effects, but no direct kidney studies. DSIP: Least likely to directly affect kidneys; potential indirect benefits via stress reduction and antioxidants.

SS31: Strongest evidence for protecting kidney function, particularly in diabetic nephropathy and AKI, by targeting mitochondrial oxidative stress.

GHK-Cu: Possible indirect benefits through antioxidant effects, but no kidney-specific data.

Since there is a lack of very much human research, you have already made the decision to do the right thing.....medical supervision. Regular kidney function tests (serum creatinine, eGFR, a cystatin C, urine protein) are a very good idea.

Bigtex Thank you for the detailed response yea I know one guy with another type of nephrotic syndrome who used BPC+TB and had good results. Some other folks are running ss31 and MOTS C but to soon to know. I’m really hoping BPC + TB can heal some scarring

Iam a HUGE believer in BPC for tissue repair.

used GHRP IPAM peptides for years and never had issues with bloodwork.

Definitely check with your doc tho.

I've always been honest with medical folks on supplements under or over the counter.

Never had any issues with peptides and them negatively impacting my kidney health.

Been using SLU-PP-332 since November 250 mcg 2x a day then bumped it up to 500 mcg 3x a day on 1 March, as I heard several others reporting improved renal function at the higher dose. Sure enough, my EFGR improved 26 points per Cystatin C from November to April. BTW I also went from running 300 mg of total gear to 1.8 g of gear in that time, so it should have went down, not improved.

genetic freak this is very interesting thank you bro. I’ll send it out to some folks with ckd and see if they know anything. This could be huge for me man I’ve never heard of this specific peptide I’ll look more into it. Any other pepetides u think could be useful for ckd/ scar tissue

It is a new compound. I believe only 7 human studies on it so far. It is an estrogen receptor agonist. Don't worry, that is just the pathway it uses. It is an exercise mimetic, meaning it turns on all the metabolic processes like you were exercising even when you are sleeping. The only side effects anyone is reporting is people tend to run a little bit warmer, they are hungrier and when you run those higher doses, you can feel a bit tired throughout the day. Of course, because your body is constantly thinking it is exercising.

So far it has shown to be cardiovascular, liver and renal protective. People are losing quite a bit of fat as well.
