GHRP-6 is studied as a growth hormone secretagogue that activates the ghrelin (GHS-R1a) receptor, stimulating endogenous growth hormone release. In rodent models, this mechanism has demonstrated increased pulsatile GH secretion and enhanced endocrine signaling.
