DAY 3 UPDATE No noticeable change. I did feel like I got really deep sleep last night. I also feel like my energy is somewhat higher. Could be placebo effect.
DAY 4 UPDATE Still have pain on my right bicep. But the pain isn’t as sharp as it used to be I think. Will confirm this in the next couple of days. I do also notice my back not being as tight in certain cases. So I’m really hoping it is recovering my back a bit. I started taking it before bed. Last night for some reason I had a bit of a hard time going to sleep. But the night before I slept like a log.
DAY 5 UPDATE I felt great today. I did a warm up light weight set with curls BUT....Got cocky and went up to all the way to 45lb seated Dumbell curls. That was dumb. I think when the muscle got nice and warmed with blood flow. The pain went away and I went overboard.... I’ve had pain all day and had to ice it. Could barely sleep this night. That was dumb...
DAY 6 Rested today. Literally stayed in bed all day and ate a ton of protein to help with healing. Lots of pain but seems to be going down...
Day 7 Still had some pain but drastically diminished. I did read somewhere that doing light weight, high volume exercises will promote healing by getting lots of blood to the tendon or muscle. I’m still not sure which is damaged...some days I feel like it’s the tendon some days I feel like it’s the muscle... High volume light weight curls, 30 rep range, 4 sets. Did that today and the pain seems to have DRASTICALLY DROPPED after working out. I am taking creatine, protein, collagen before workout, multivitamins, and magnesium. Curious how I will feel tomorrow.
Day 8 Pain has diminished even more. I think those days that I had extreme pain on bicep was just soreness of destroying arms the day before... plus the damage didn’t help either. Anyway I think the muscle has healed from the soreness now it’s just the tendon area where the forearm joint is. (Where the Forearm and biceps link). Today did high reps on biceps again to promote a ton of blood flow to that area. I do think it’s working because the pain has diminished and I feel stronger in that area. Plus it didn’t heal for 2 months and now it seems to be doing better to the point of me curling 45lbs seated. Idk what happened that day. Idk if it was in my head or the BPC157 is healing me that got me to curl that kind of weight. So the plan is to continue BPC157 with high protein diet, daily high reps for biceps to get a ton of blood in the joint area. 30-35 rep range. The pump is nasty so I’m sure there is plenty of blood going to the joint area where the tendon is. THIS VIDEO HELPED: https://youtu.be/ZZmPlBKid6c?si=XjE5jTd9L6UaOVmS
Day 16 Took a week off the gym, been have been continuing BPC157 at night. Today first day back in the gym after a week off. I felt good, I felt really good. Before going to the gym I felt extremely demotivated that I may have lost gains, plus I just didn’t want to deal with the bicep pain either. Au contraire my friend, I felt stronger and less pain. To test it I did hammer curls of 25lbs for 30 reps. The pain has drastically improved. Tested on the ez grip curl bar as well. I felt even less pain than normal here. This is the exercise that gave me the most pain 2 weeks ago. I went up all the way to hammer curling 35lbs for 15 reps with very slight discomfort. I’m still cautious to do higher than that at this moment. I want to give it another week and I may try 40s but probably shouldn’t.
DAY 18 Had a FANTASTIC full body workout today. I think pain has decreased even MORE, being conservative I’ll say maybe 65% decrease... Trying to keep expectations low lol. Didn’t do any crazy weights on the bicep muscle instead high rep ranges. Highest weights were 30lbs with 20 reps, but started with 20s then gradually increased weight. Again following the logic of high reps to PROMOTE BLOOD FLOW 🩸TO TENDON AND BICEP. I VERY MUCH think it’s working, and will continue this plan. I am tempted to try 35lbs and higher but I still have slight pain and AM NOT GOING TO RISK REINJURY after all the progress I have made even though I get tempted... I did start taking a 50g protein shake as well before bed with BPC157, I’m taking it with food, some say to take it with out food but it complicates my schedule...My protein does have Leucine and BCCA’s and I think the extra nutrition is helping tremendously as well. I do hope I can be complete pain free after this cycle 🔄. But sometimes I know some injuries will linger... We will see what happens.
I took Day 19 off as a well-deserved rest day, letting my body recover from the soreness that had set in. Day 20, I felt fresh and stronger; the pain is easing up more and more. It could be the result of focusing on a slower, more controlled tempo during my bicep hammer curls. However, I still notice some tightness when lowering the weights, which makes me cautious about doing seated dumbbell curls due to the intense stretch they require. I currently have zero pain on supination. (Turning the wrist). That’s the non denying fact that it is working and I feel very confident that it’s not placebo. Since tried a 2 month break and no improvement. 20’days in now and I can fully supinate my wrist with zero pain.
DAY 28 80%of the pain has subsided (probably more, staying conservative), and my strength is steadily returning. In fact, I believe I may have made some noticeable gains. I managed 30-pound hammer curls for 20 reps with minimal discomfort and even worked my way up to 45 pounds for 10 reps with little to no pain, slight discomfort. It seems that once I warm up and progressively increase the weight, the pain becomes barely noticeable, more like a slight discomfort. For my next workout, I plan to attempt palm-up curls, though I’m still a bit hesitant, as I continue to feel some residual pain during that motion (palms facing up).
