Purity of recombinant human HGH was determined by SDS- polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The protein was resolved in an SDS- polyacrylamide gel in reducing and non-reducing conditions and stained using Coomassie blue.
Recombinant human HGH (HZ-1007) stimulates dose-dependent proliferation of the NB211 rat lymphoma cell line. Cell number was quantitatively assessed by PrestoBlue® Cell Viability Reagent. NB211 cells were treated with increasing concentrations of recombinant HGH for 96 hours. The EC50 was determined using a 4-parameter non-linear regression model. The EC50 range is 0.05-0.5 ng/mL.
Proteintech HGH (HZ-1007) demonstrates equivalent induction of proliferation and a 2-fold lower EC50 compared to leading competitors. Recombinant human HGH stimulates dose-dependent proliferation of the NB211 rat lymphoma cell line. Cell number was quantitatively assessed by PrestoBlue® Cell Viability Reagent. NB211 cells were treated with increasing concentrations of recombinant HGH for 96 hours. The EC50 was determined using a 4-parameter non-linear regression model. The EC50 range is 0.02-0.120 ng/mL.

Background
Human Growth hormone (HGH), also known as somatotropin, is an integral mitogen for development. It is synthesized, stored and secreted by somatotropic cells within the anterior pituitary gland (PMID 13975314). HGH stimulates growth, cell reproduction, and cell regeneration in humans and other animals (PMID 7079756). HGH stimulates both the differentiation and proliferation of myoblasts, and also stimulates amino acid uptake and protein synthesis in muscle and other tissues (PMID 8203982, 16332656).
