I’ve heard positive things about peptides. My concern is more about where they’re sourced from? (Some labs reputable and sanitary, some maybe not so much... and how can one be sure if buying it online?). Safe Dosing strategies? Things like that. I am NOT a med professional.
My cousin, a body builder, suggested I look into peptides. Specifically BPC-157 for its’ anti inflammatory properties. Although I’m interested, I’m equally frightened to try something off books to control a disease I was only recently (June ‘25) confirmed to have and am still getting up to speed with my first treatment (MTX). All he (my cousin) did was refer me to a couple links to read up on it AND a couple links to order for self medicating/injecting— with zero medical guidance. Personally I am NOT comfortable self injecting an off books drug created in a lab in Nevada. For lack of coming up with a less grim sounding analogy: That just feels akin to holding a gun to my head and surviving with only 1/2 of my face left. I’m always SO wary that “if something could go wrong, it very well might.”
This Also reminds me of my close friend recently sharing with me via text: “Hey! You might want to look into this. My GF with RA started ingesting Borax! That’s right! The laundry soap booster. She read that when taken a certain way, it can reduce RA inflammation. She just started drinking it & she said she’s feeling great.” My question was, “I know it might be much less expensive.... BUT WHY NOT TRY Boron supplements before drinking laundry soap booster instead?”🤷♀️
