Tesamorelin Dosage Calculator: Reconstitution and Units

Tesamorelin dosage and reconstitution calculator: convert mg to mL and U-100 syringe units (education only).

Context first

Study findings do not automatically establish clinical benefit, safety, dosing, or suitability for an individual.

Tesamorelin Dosage Calculator: Reconstitution and Units

To calculate tesamorelin dosage, divide your target dose (mg) by the vial concentration. Concentration = vial mg ÷ BAC water mL. For a 5 mg vial with 2 mL BAC water: concentration is 2.5 mg/mL. A 0.5 mg dose equals 0.2 mL (20 U-100 units) on a standard insulin syringe.

How to Calculate Tesamorelin Dosage

Three steps convert any vial and BAC water combination into the exact volume to draw on a U-100 insulin syringe.

Step 1 — Calculate concentration (mg/mL)

Step 2 — Calculate draw volume (mL)

Step 3 — Convert to U-100 syringe units

Dosage Formula

Concentration formula

Draw volume formula

U-100 syringe units

These three formulas apply to any Tesamorelin vial, regardless of size. U-100 is the standard insulin-syringe scale: 100 units = 1 mL.

Enter your vial strength, BAC water volume, and target dose below. The calculator outputs concentration (mg/mL), draw volume (mL), and U-100 units. Educational and research use only.

Example Tesamorelin Calculations

Step-by-step worked examples using common vial sizes. Results are for illustrating the math only.

5 mg vial + 2 mL BAC water, 0.5 mg dose

Vial: 5 mg | BAC water: 2 mL | Target dose: 0.5 mg

Concentration: 5 ÷ 2 = 2.5 mg/mL

Draw volume: 0.5 ÷ 2.5 = 0.2 mL

U-100 units: 0.2 × 100 = 20 units

10 mg vial + 5 mL BAC water, 1 mg dose

Vial: 10 mg | BAC water: 5 mL | Target dose: 1 mg

Concentration: 10 ÷ 5 = 2 mg/mL

Draw volume: 1 ÷ 2 = 0.5 mL

U-100 units: 0.5 × 100 = 50 units

Tesamorelin Reconstitution Guide

Tesamorelin is commonly supplied as a lyophilised powder in 5 mg or 10 mg vials. Reconstitution math depends on the total peptide in the vial and the amount of BAC water added.

Swab both vial stoppers with alcohol and allow them to dry.

Inject BAC water slowly along the glass wall rather than directly onto the powder.

Gently swirl until the solution is clear. Do not shake.

Store reconstituted tesamorelin refrigerated at 2–8 °C and verify use windows from your source material.

Frequently Asked Questions

Divide the target dose (mg) by the concentration (mg/mL). For a 5 mg vial with 2 mL BAC water, the concentration is 2.5 mg/mL. A 0.5 mg dose equals 0.2 mL, which is 20 U-100 units.

U-100 is the standard scale for insulin syringes. 100 units = 1.0 mL. That means 10 units = 0.1 mL, 50 units = 0.5 mL. Multiply any draw volume in mL by 100 to get the U-100 units reading.

Yes. Changing BAC water volume changes the concentration (mg/mL), which changes the draw volume for the same mg dose. Always recalculate using: concentration = vial mg ÷ BAC water mL, then draw volume = dose mg ÷ concentration.

A common example is 5 mg plus 2 mL BAC water, which yields 2.5 mg/mL. At that concentration, every 0.1 mL equals 0.25 mg and every 0.2 mL equals 0.5 mg.
