Anecdotally: injecting 250mcg twice a day subcutaneously in tissue as close to my injury as possible (left middle finger a2 pully strain) seemed to accelerate healing compared to previous injuries rehabbed without BPC-157. I did a protocol similar to Escher Low's pulley rehab protocol in concurrence with the injections. I don't have anything quantifiable to share, but subjectively it felt like the healing process started to rapidly progress once injections were introduced. Compared to previous pulley strains of similar severity, rehab was shorter and in the end, the finger felt as robust as other non injured fingers. I had no side effects to speak of other than a few painful injections where I hit a subq blood vessel or missed the right spot.
YMMV and this isn't medical advice.
I ran 250 mcg twice a day for a total of 30 days. I injected it bilaterally into my middle fingers in the morning, and shoulders at night.
I started this regiment after sustaining a grade 1 S2 pulley strain on my right middle finger. I've suffered this injury before, and it's usually takes about a month to get back to climbing without too much worry, and it often aches for up to 3+ months after a hard session.
With this treatment it seems to have healed significantly faster. After resting it and doing mobilization work for a week, I started climbing again with some taping to partially immobilize it. I'd do rice bucket work and light hangboarding twice a week to try and condition it.
Within 4 weeks it wasn't causing me any pain, and by 6 weeks I was able to limit boulder at my previous grade. Now at 8 weeks I'm doing max effort hangs at my previous working weight.
Can I say for sure that the BPC helped? Not necessarily, my injury treatment protocol has gotten pretty good. It has certainly been my quickest healing pulley injury to date, however. If I get injured, I'll definitely run it again.
Disclaimer, I was also running GHRP-6 and Mod GRF1-29 twice a day. I doubt this contributed too much to the healing effect.
Got me intrigued and found an interesting review article here. Looks like it has promise in small animal experiments but there hasn't been any human trials. More worrisome is that the trial results of fairly old human trials have not been published, which is often indicative of null results.
If you're determined to try it, from a general pharmacokinetics perspective I imagine oral would be pretty useless, as the our guts don't tend to absorb intact polypeptides in a meaningful way. For injection, I doubt it would really matter where you injected it, as the molecule is so small it will be taken up systemically very rapidly. That being said, you'd be taking on unclear risk for likely marginal benefit (something major would've been published by now).
*edited to say human trials
Wonder what Dr nylor telson would make of such heresy, papa Hörst has probably got a supplement in the works #makeThatMoney
What are the side effects though? Most compounds like this cause cancer or have other awful side effects.
Vitamin C and collagen supplementation seems like a much better route to go, along with a high volume of low load eccentric work.
I'm 2.5 weeks into a A2 pulley sprain on my right ring finger and I almost feel back to normal. First week off entirely icing 3 times per day and just moving the finger without load. Starting the 2nd week I was alternating ice and heat three times per day. I also started doing open handed climbing (which even the day the injury occured didn't bother me but I wanted to take it easy). This week I have started putting eccentric and isometric loads at the specific angles that make the finger sore.
I take vitamin c and collagen+biotin every morning, 1 hour before my exercise/rehab work, and before sleep.
Feeling very positive at the moment.
Pour ceux qui ont testé , vous avez une source sur Internet à recommander?
I have chronical palletal tendonits from crossfit. Tried oral bpc-157 (500mcg 2 times a day) for 3 months and felt nothing.
Where do you buy it?
I've used it subq for gut related issues but did notice my chronic wrist aches dissapear. Seems that subq is best and the literature suggests BPC 157 is systemic so I never worried about sight injection for either IM or Subq. I chose to stick myself with 250mcg x2 daily in belly fat as It was easy to access and nearly painless compared to the thought of injecting it in or around areas such as fingers/hands. Also on a side note, however I am not 100% sure of this, would BPC be considered a synthetic or a derivative of a peptide chain extracted and re structured from human gastric juice. Regardless it is worth trying unless you have any active cancer or are high risk of cancer.
