About TB-500
TB-500 is a synthetic analogue of Thymosin Beta-4 (TB4), a naturally occurring 44-amino acid peptide found throughout the body’s tissues. It corresponds to a biologically active fragment of Thymosin Beta-4 and shares its core actin-binding sequence. TB-500 has a molecular formula of C212H350N56O78S and a molecular weight of 4963.4 g/mol.
TB-500 is used extensively in in vitro preclinical research. Studies have examined its role in actin regulation and cellular migration, as well as its interactions with vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and anti-inflammatory signalling pathways.
